Szyjemy Gorsety

As part of the artistic workshop “Artă,” I had the pleasure of organizing the workshop “Szyjemy Gorsety”. This initiative provided an opportunity for both youth and adults from the local community to come together in a creative and welcoming space to learn new sewing techniques and the art of corset-making. The workshop was designed not only to teach participants about sewing but also to encourage them to explore their creativity. We began by discussing the history and significance of corsets in fashion, which sparked enthusiasm and curiosity among the attendees. Participants brought in old garments and recycled textiles, transforming them into unique pieces. This not only promoted sustainable practices but also allowed individuals to express their personal style through their creations. Throughout the sessions, I guided participants through various sewing techniques, ensuring that even those with little to no experience felt comfortable and confident in their abilities.
